SSL_get_fd(3)                       OpenSSL                      SSL_get_fd(3)

       SSL_get_fd - get file(1,n) descriptor linked to an SSL object

        #include <openssl/ssl.h>

        int SSL_get_fd(SSL *ssl);
        int SSL_get_rfd(SSL *ssl);
        int SSL_get_wfd(SSL *ssl);

       SSL_get_fd() returns the file(1,n) descriptor which is linked to ssl.
       SSL_get_rfd() and SSL_get_wfd() return the file(1,n) descriptors for the
       read(2,n,1 builtins) or the write(1,2) channel, which can be different. If the read(2,n,1 builtins) and the
       write(1,2) channel are different, SSL_get_fd() will return the file(1,n) descrip-
       tor of the read(2,n,1 builtins) channel.

       The following return values can occur:

       -1 The operation failed, because the underlying BIO is not of the cor-
           rect type (suitable for file(1,n) descriptors).

       >=0 The file(1,n) descriptor linked to ssl.

       SSL_set_fd(3), ssl(3) , bio(3)
