NAME
     od -- octal, decimal, hex, ascii(1,7) dump

SYNOPSIS
      [-aBbcDdeFfHhIiLlOovXx] [[+]offset[.][Bb]]file(1,n)

DESCRIPTION
     odhas been deprecated in(1,8) favor of hexdump(1).

     Hexdump,if(3,n) called as ,provides compatibility for the options listed
     above.

     It does not provide compatibility for the -soption (see strings(1))or the
     -P,-p,or -woptions, nor is compatibility provided for the ``label'' com-
     ponent of the offset syntax.
